During World War II, soldiers were trained to become pilots at the Airfield on Airport Road, now known as the Naples Airport. On Saturday nights, soldiers were bused into the Naples Depot for a USO show, and the Naples Depot celebration in today’s time pays tribute to this historical activity.
Celebrity Sighting - You may recognize the name Peter Thomas, who will act as a special guest master of ceremonies. Thomas is a local and national celebrity famous for his voiceovers with Forensic Files and other television programs. Thomas will interview soldiers about their experiences with WW II.
