You’ve Gotta Be Kitten Me!
Collier County Domestic Animal Services Shelter Offering FREE Cat Adoptions

The Collier County Domestic Animal Services (DAS) cat shelter population is nearing capacity, so DAS is offering FREE cat adoptions for a limited time.
“We want to do something to help our cats find homes because it has gotten very crowded, which often happens this time of year,” said Darcy Andrade, director of Collier County DAS. “It’s a win for us because we find these animals loving homes and that is our goal.”

Whether you are looking for a fellow couch potato, a playmate or a companion for your children, a kitten or one of our senior cats, now is the time to do it. Big or small we have them all and you can take them home at no cost.

Adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, age appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, FELV/FIV test, rabies vaccination and 30 days of free pet insurance. That’s a value of more than $400.

You can check out some of the amazing pets available for adoption at DAS on our “Happy Tails” television show. “Happy Tails” airs every night at 7 p.m. on Collier Television, channel 97. You can also visit collierpets.com and check out the adoptable pets online. But nothing beats coming to the shelter yourself to find your new family member. Stop by the Naples shelter at 7610 Davis Blvd., Naples, Florida 34104, or the Immokalee shelter, located at 405 Sgt. Joe Jones Road, Immokalee, Florida 34142,

For more information, please call DAS at (239) 252-7387 (PETS). For media inquiries, contact Kate Albers at (239) 252-8579 or KateAlbers@colliergov.net.
