Additional Emergency Shelters Open in Collier County

The following general population shelters are open and accepting new evacuees:
• Pinecrest Elementary, 313 S 9th St., Immokalee, Florida 34142
• Highlands Elementary, 1101 Lake Trafford Road, Immokalee, Florida 34145
• Laurel Oak Elementary, 7800 Immokalee Road, Naples, Florida 34119
• Vineyards Elementary, 6225 Arbor Boulevard, Naples, Florida 34119

Those who plan to use emergency shelters should take any necessary medications, cell phone chargers, toiletries, foods, water, flashlights, bedding and anything else they need to be comfortable.
Pet owners must bring their vaccination records, the appropriate size kennel for their animals, food and water for a minimum of three days, bowls and all supplies including waste bags and litter. When taking pets outside, they must remain leashed, and pet owners are responsible for picking up pet waste. There must be a family member or care taker of the pet present in the shelter always.
