Road Alert Update - Oct. 4, 2017

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 ROAD ALERT UPDATE

This ROAD ALERT was prepared by the Collier County Growth Management Department to inform the community about scheduled road construction and road maintenance projects along major roadways in Collier County where lane closures are planned or traffic flow may be affected.

COLLIER COUNTY CONSTRUCTION/MAINTENANCE PROJECTS:

Collier Boulevard Improvements Project – On Collier Boulevard at Green Boulevard, Pine Ridge Road/White Boulevard and at Golden Gate Boulevard expect intermittent lane closures in all directions from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for approximately three weeks, weather permitting, as crews perform traffic signal work for the Collier Boulevard Improvements Project.  The project is scheduled to be completed in approximately three weeks. Motorists are advised to stay alert and drive with care.  Flagmen will be utilized, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades, to assist travelers in this area.

WORK BY OTHERS:

Immokalee Road between Olde Cypress Boulevard and Preserve Lane – On Immokalee Road between Olde Cypress Blvd and Preserve Lane expect westbound traffic to be reduced from three lanes to one lane on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting, as South Florida Water Management District crews dismantle and load equipment used to assist with stormwater flow from Hurricane Irma onto trailers. Law enforcement officers and flagmen will be utilized, as needed, along with lighted arrow boards, advance warning signs and barricades, to assist travelers in this area.
