Annual Collier County Skywarn training is set for 2012. The 2012 classes will occur twice, on Friday February 24th and again on Saturday, February 25th at the South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural Parkway, Naples, 34113. Click HERE in the interim, if you'd like a reminder when the registration site is activated, you can e-mail the Collier County Skywarn Coordinator.
Special training can be arranged.

(Lee County training opportunities are addressed below. (NOTE: We have a reciprocal agreement with Tampa Weather Office for them to train Collier residents and they will be certified for Collier weather spotting.)

Refresher training for Skywarn spotters is needed every two years. Refresher training consists of either taking the basic or advanced course again.

Tuesday, 18 Sept 2007, @ ~6PM, Don Blalock took a picture of this pair of water spouts about seven miles from Marco Island. On this particular day, several spouts appeared around the coastline of Collier County.
