This page is meant to be a community resource for both the community and emergency services personnel.  The "audience"  will be described for each training course advertised as well as a "contact person".  This is only a forum offered to the various trainers throughout the County to get the information out.  Collier County Emergency Management Office is not responsible for the accuracy of the information.  Please communicate directly with the "Contact" person identified for details.

National Incident Management System (NIMS) training can be found through both the State of Florida and FEMA sites below.

Additional ICS/NIMS 300 and 400 classes may be available in Lee County for Collier's Gov't workers and responders for FREE.  Call Lee Co. Emergency Management 477-3600 for more information.

State of Florida Training & Events Schedule:  This site is a valuable resources for first responder training occurring outside Collier County.  Most training is FREE.

FEMA Training Opportunities:  This site will guide you both to Independent Study and Resident courses.  All independent study courses are FREE and open to the public.  Resident courses are mainly for first responder personel.

SKYWARN Weather Spotter:  This training is open to anyone over 17 years old.  Through this training you learn to be a volunteer weather observer for the National Weather Service Office.  The training is free.  The Skywarn page lists training available both in Lee & Collier Counties.
