Collier County : Contractor Licenses

All contractors (except state certified) must take an exam(s) to obtain a local county license. The sponsorship application fee is $130.00 per exam.
After the exam(s) is taken and passed, you must contact our office to obtain an application to apply for the license(s). All county licenses will expire on September 30th of every year, regardless what time of year the license was issued. All renewals will be mailed on or about the middle of August of every year.
To obtain a Maintenance License "Handyman", please contact the Business Tax Office (Occupational) at 239-252-2477. All State Certified contractors must complete a registration form and submit a $45.00 fee. After registering, the license/registration will need to be renewed thereafter to remain "Active" and able to pull permits or call in inspections within Collier County. State License renewals are based according to the expiration date indicated on the State License.
A Business Tax Receipt (Occupational License) will need to be obtained if your business office is located in Collier County (Home or Commercial). Note: This is a Tax License to operate your business that is processed by the Collier County Tax Collector's Office.
