Mission Statement
"To protect the health, safety, and welfare of Collier County residents and visitors through education, cooperation, and compliance"
The Code Enforcement Department enforces the numerous State Statutes, County Codes and Ordinances of Law in Collier County. The fifty members of the Department are dedicated to addressing health, safety, and welfare issues, stabilizing property values and preventing blight in our community. The Department has established a Blight Prevention Program through the formation of five Community Task Force Teams, bank and lender key contacts and a community caretaking list with the status of code cases. The Community Task Force Teams are an integral part of preventing blight from taking hold of our community. The Teams are comprised of numerous state and local agency representatives such as the Sheriff’s Office, Fire Districts, Utilities, Domestic Animals Services, Civic and Homeowners Associations. Community members are encouraged to attend the Community Task Force Meeting in their area. Additionally, community members are encouraged to help maintain the integrity of their community by reporting possible Code violations such as homes with broken windows, overgrown weeds/grass, broken screens, green pools, and litter. Reports can be made on the Code Enforcement Website “Report Code Violation online” or by calling the Department at 252-2440.
