Florida Statutes require that all real estate and interests therein be appraised by an independent appraiser prior to being purchased by the County. Real estate valued $500,000 and greater requires two appraisals prepared by independent appraisers.
The Board of County Commissioners can waive the requirement for an independent appraisal on real estate valued less than $100,000. When waived, the staff Real Estate Appraiser will prepare an appraisal.
If you have questions regarding appraisal services or if you are a designated real estate appraiser licensed to do business in the State of Florida and would like to do work for Collier County, please email Mr. Roosevelt Leonard, Real Estate Appraiser, at: rooseveltleonard@colliergov.net.
