Agricultural Clearing Notification |
|
|
- Addressing checklist;
- Property Appraiser's Agricultural classification;
- Best Management Practices, interim measures or regulations governing the agricultural operation (developed by Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Department of Agricultural and Consumer Services and/or South Florida Water Management District and/or U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers or U.S. Environmental Protection Agency);
- Proof of ownership of the property (warranty deed or tax statement)
- An aerial photograph or site plan that includes vegetation inventory, acreage of existing native vegetation on site and proposed clearing plan;
- Clearing fee $250.00

- South Florida Water Management Consumptive Use Permit or exemption
- South Florida Water Management Surface Water Permit or exemption
- Permit from the US Army Corps of Engineers if wetlands onsite
- Silviculture management plan, if applicable
- Clearing fee $250 up to 1 acre, $50 for each additional acre, or fraction thereof, with a maximum fee of $3,000

| Vegetation Removal Permit |
- For removing native vegetation from non-agricultural land;
- To remove non-planted landscaping due to diseased trees, damage to structure, or safety hazard
- To clear in addition to one acre for single family lots after obtaining a building permit;
- To clear native vegetation in order to construct a perimeter fence;
- To remove landscaping due to diseased trees, damage to structure, or safety hazard;
- To clear for an approved accessory structure on single-family zoned lots ;
- To clear native vegetation in order to gain access to undeveloped property for subsurface soil boring testing;
- To clear exotic vegetation by mechanical means.

- For use in conjunction with special or annual beach events
