Growth Management Department Offers E-Permitting Training Classes
The Growth Management Department (GMD) is offering Electronic Permitting (E-Permitting) training classes this spring for both permit applicants ready to begin using the E-Permitting/electronic plan review process as well as for applicants who need a refresher on some or all E-Permitting features of the GMD Public Portal.
Training modules have been updated recently and cover specific topics such as portal registration, uploading documents and how to handle resubmittals/corrections. This modular approach will provide more flexibility in tailoring training sessions to meet customer needs. Training sessions are planned for building permit applicants and planning permit applicants that are new to E-Permitting plus refresher training for both. Every effort will be made to group attendees by the type of training requested. Since the training classes are hands-on space is limited to 20 participants per session.
Two training classes per day will be held on March 20, 22, 24, 28, 29 and 30 with morning sessions starting at 9 a.m. and afternoon sessions beginning at 1 p.m. The presentations will last approximately 45 minutes and staff will be available for assistance until noon for the morning sessions and until 4 p.m. for the afternoon sessions. Training will be held at Collier County Growth Management Division, Development Services Building, Conference Room 610, 2800 North Horseshoe Drive, Naples, Florida 34104.
All interested participants are asked to register by Wednesday, March 10, by contacting Training Coordinator Danny Condomina at DannyCondomina@colliergov.net or 239-252-6866. When registering please indicate the type of training requested and preferred date(s)/time(s) along with a call back number.
For those who are unable to participate in a hands-on training session staff will soon post training documents at http://www.colliergov.net/your-government/divisions-a-e/building-review/e-permitting for all to use.
