The purpose of the Collier County Traffic Operations Section (CCTO) is to promote the safety and efficiency of the county's roadway network through sound engineering principles and effective maintenance. The CCTO currently has a complement of 38 employees: four in In-House Design, seven in Roadway Signing and Marking, four in Roadway Lighting, three in Traffic Facility Locates, seven in the Traffic Management Center, ten in Traffic Signals, and three in the Administrative Section. The CCTO has authority throughout the unincorporated area of the county; municipalities provide their own maintenance and services.

Currently, the CCTO is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 211 signalized intersections, 162 flashers, 4,800 roadway lights and 24,000 traffic signs along the county's roadway network.

You can use our online form to send us your comments and observations about traffic signals. We welcome your feedback. (Please continue to inform us of emergency conditions by telephone during regular business hours at 239-252-5000.  If there is an emergency during non business hours please call 239-252-9300).
