The purpose of the Collier County Traffic Operations Section (CCTO) is to promote the safety and efficiency of the county's roadway network through sound engineering principles and effective maintenance.  The CCTO currently has a complement of 34 employees, four in In-House Design, seven in Roadway Signing and Marking, three in Roadway Lighting, three in Traffic Facility Locates, four in the Traffic Management Center, ten in Traffic Signals, and three in the Administrative Section. The CCTO has authority throughout the unincorporated area of the county; municipalities provide their own maintenance and services.

Currently, the CCTO is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 201 signalized intersection, 85 flashers, 4,800 roadway lights, and 20,000 traffic signs along the county's roadway network.

You can now use our online form to send us your comments and observations about traffic signals. We welcome your feedback.
