Collier County is now accepting unwanted medication for safe, environmentally friendly disposal.
Throwing medication away can lead to accidental ingestion by children or pets, and to improper use of medication due to theft. Disposing of unwanted medication can be a problem. It can pollute our water supply or fall into the wrong hands. Flushing medications down the toilet is not a safe disposal method.
Bring your expired, unused, or unwanted medication to the Naples Recycling Center and the Solid Waste Management Department will ensure that it is disposed of properly. Simply place your medications still in original container (black out your name from label, but leave name of medication on label) into the pharmaceutical disposal container at the recycling center located at: Naples Recycling Center, 2640 West Enterprise Ave., Naples, FL 34104, Hours: Tuesday thru Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Phone: 239-643-3099
